Never let someone’s opinion become your reality.

Never sacrifice who you are because someone else has a problem with it.

Love who you are inside and out.

No one else has the power to make you feel small unless you give them that power.

You are the only one who can create your happiness.

The choice is yours.  Choose happiness.

Pain makes you stronger.

Tears make you braver.

Heartbreak makes you wiser.

Be grateful for your past because it helped shape who you are.

Don’t wait until everything is just right; it will never be perfect.

There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions.

So what! Get started now!

With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more skilled, more confident, and more successful.

No matter what, ALWAYS BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.

Any doubts must be put out of your mind.

If you find yourself thinking something negative, figure out who it was who put that thought in your head.

Then acknowledge that it’s not your thought, push it out of your mind, and say,

“I’m awesome!”

The foundation of a house tells you how big the house can get. You can’t put a big house on a small or faulty foundation. It’ll collapse every time.

The same is true for our lives. You can’t become what God wants you to be on a faulty foundation. We’re given a lot of different options for what will be the foundation of our lives:

  • Popular culture. Some people think they’ll simply do what every other person is doing. If it’s popular, that’s what they do, too. Yet what’s popular today won’t be popular tomorrow. Basing your life on popular culture is like building a house on a constantly moving foundation. It doesn’t work!
  • Tradition. Other people build their lives on what has always been done — or how their parents did it. That does make a little sense. Tradition becomes tradition because it works. But no tradition lasts forever. It eventually wears out, becomes obsolete, and is invalid. In Mark 7:8 Jesus tells the Pharisees never to put tradition before truth. It’s a good reminder for all of us.
  • Reason. God gave us the ability to reason; we need to use it. But our reason isn’t infallible. Proverbs 16:25 says, “There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death” (NIV). The reason is the smartest among us will falter at times. It’s to be expected. Only God can be trusted all the time.
  • Emotions. Some build their lives on a feeling. If it feels right, they do it. But feelings lie — they lie all the time. You lie to yourself more than anyone else. If you live by your feelings, you’ll spend your life manipulated by your moods.

If it doesn’t work to build your life on popular culture, tradition, reason, or emotion, what should we build our lives upon? God’s Word.

Jesus says this in Matthew 7:24: “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”

If you build your life on the rock of God’s Word, truth never changes. Popular culture changes, traditions grow stale, reason can be faulty, and emotions lie.

Yet God’s Word never changes.

You may not always understand his Word. You may not always like it. It won’t always be politically correct.

But it’s the only thing stable enough to build our lives upon.

Just because today is a terrible day doesn’t mean tomorrow won’t be the best day of your life.

You just got to get there.

Past mistakes should teach you to create a wonderful future,

not cause you to be afraid of it.

Don’t carry your mistakes around with you. Instead, place them under your feet and use them as stepping stones. Never regret. If it’s good, it’s wonderful. If it’s bad, it’s experience.

Success is not about where you are standing at any given point in time, it’s about how much you’ve learned and how far you’ve come to get there.

Learn from the past, and then get the heck out of there!

The only way to do great work is to love what you do.

If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking.

Don’t settle.

As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.

There is only ever one ‘right now’.

There is therefore only one right thing to do.

There is no need to carry any burden while doing that thing.

If it is done well, the future will look after itself.

Keep it simple. Keep it light. Keep it effortless.

Be alert to what you are doing.

You can’t have a positive life with a negative attitude.

If we think positively, sound becomes music, movement becomes dance,

smile becomes laughter, and life becomes a celebration.

Not everything is meant to be.

But everything is worth to try.

Trying is not having everything.

It is enjoying what’s meant to try.

Today is the day to let go and release all the things that are causing you pain in your life and stopping you from moving forward! It’s time to rise above anything that is bringing you down! You can and will make a difference in your life – only if you choose!

I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.

We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.

Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
